About this product
The BIG 20" Filter is the system indicated for installations requiring high flow rate of filtered water, such as swimming pools and condominiums. It can be installed at any point after the water meter and before the water tank, avoiding constant maintenance caused by the accumulation of dirt such as sand, mud and other suspended sediments.
With cleaner water circulating, the piping is protected against corrosion caused by dirt deposits, in addition to preventing clogging in floats, showers, valves and other equipment. The product comes with a metal support to sustain the weight of the apparatus in operation and its own wrench, which facilitates the opening and closing of the bowl.
Its pleated polyester filter element is washable, maintaining high efficiency until the end of service life, and can be easily replaced when necessary.

- 1st Close the water meter valve. You can install the BIG filter before the water tank, next to the inlet manifold (after the water meter) or in pools.
- 2nd Size the installation location to secure the filter support bracket.
- 3rd Cut the water inlet pipe, observing the position where the filter will be installed.
- 4th On one side of the union, glue the water inlet pipe; on the other side, secure a piece of pipe (approx. 5 cm) and glue the soldered adapter (smooth side) to the other end. Repeat the fitting on the other side of the filter.
- 5th IMPORTANT: it is advisable to install a pressure gauge before and another after the filter. When the reading varies by 1.5 kgf/cm², clean the filter element.
- 6th Insert and turn the filter lid on the adapters until it is firmly secured. Observe the inlet and outlet markings on the lid and always use thread seal tape on connections.
- 7th Insert the filter cup ensuring the o-ring seal is properly seated. Thread the cup with the wrench to the end of the thread. Do not use thread seal tape on the cup.
- 8th Screw the filter lid onto the support fastened to the wall. In case of leaks, check the connections and cup tightness.
Maintenance
How to replace the refill

Step 01
Close the water meter valve.

Step 02
Unscrew the filter cup. Use the wrench if necessary (hold the filter with one hand to avoid damaging the piping).

Step 03
With a glove, remove the filter element full of impurities.

Step 04
Clean the cup and the filter lid. Use only water and biodegradable soap; avoid abrasive materials.

Step 05
Check that the o-ring seal is properly seated in the lid.

Step 06
Insert the filter element inside the cup and screw the cup back onto the lid. Open the valve again.

Step 07
In case of leaks, check the connections and cup tightness. Note: the element is washable — check periodically for cleaning needs using only water and a soft brush.
