BIG 20" Pleated Refill

The BIG 20" Pleated Refill is the filter element compatible with the BIG 20" Filter, indicated as a pre-filter for installations with high sediment levels in water. Produced with a polyester filter fabric, it is efficient in reducing suspended dirt particles, such as sand, clay and silt, without compromising flow rate.

Its pleated design increases the contact area with water — which is why high flow rate does not represent a loss of efficiency, but rather more filter surface. Internally, a polypropylene core ensures the element structure even in higher-rise installations. Water is forced to pass through the micropores of the polyester, and dirt particles are retained in the filaments, forcing water to find another path to be released — which ensures efficient filtration across the entire refill extension.

Usage recommendation: rinse the element in running water whenever there is a noticeable reduction in flow rate and replace it when cleaning does not restore the flow.
