About this product
The Pleated Refill 9.3/4" is the filter element compatible with 9.3/4" housings, recommended as a pre-filter for installations with high sediment levels in water. Manufactured with a polyester filter media, it is efficient in reducing suspended dirt particles, such as sand, clay and silt, without compromising flow rate.
Its pleated design increases the contact area with water — that is why high flow rate does not represent loss of efficiency, but rather more filter surface. Internally, a polypropylene core ensures the element's structure even in higher installations. Water is forced to pass through the polyester micropores, and dirt particles are retained in the filaments, forcing water to find another path to be released — which ensures efficient filtration throughout the entire refill.

In the box

- Close the water meter shut-off valve.
- Unscrew the filter bowl. If necessary, use the wrench that comes with the unit.
- Wearing gloves, remove the refill full of impurities and discard it. Sort waste properly—the saturated refill is contaminated waste.
- Clean the bowl, the o-ring and the filter cap. Use only water and biodegradable soap. Avoid abrasive materials.
- With the components cleaned, inspect the condition of each part. Ensure the o-ring (code 913-2465) is not cracked or dried out, and replace it if necessary.
- Position the o-ring in the housing on the inside of the bowl.
- Insert the clean refill into the bowl and screw on the cap, ensuring proper filter sealing.
- Open the main shut-off valve and monitor operation for the first few minutes. In case of leakage, check the inlet and outlet connections and tighten the bowl-to-cap assembly.
